I’ve got to admit that I’ve been a little grouchy complainie – it’s complaining with a dash of whining. I’ve got a lot going on in my life right now and I would like God to move some mountains.
The daily challenges we face already elevate our stress levels. Now add a busy season, and a whole mess of unfortunate events and our stress levels are off the charts. The margins that I love and safeguard have become very thin to almost non-existent and I don’t like it. So for the last few days, I was a little complanie to God, frustrated that He wasn’t moving mountains and knocking down obstacles as quickly as I would’ve liked. Then I woke up to the song below playing in my mind.
It wasn’t saying something I didn’t know, but, it was reminding me of what I had forgotten because I was blinded by stress and anxiety. God is still in heaven, He’s still in control and He’s my victory in every season. The situations that look hard and impossible right now aren’t going to drown me because God is still here. He has never abandoned me and He never will. As long as He is with me, I walk with confidence through all seasons of life. And that’s a reason to rejoice and bring praise.
As you listen to the song, I hope it dislodges any truths that may have gotten buried under anxiety or stress. May it remind you that God is your victory and He will always be here.
