Sometimes it’s not easy to know what direction to take, especially when it concerns our kids. There’s no guarantee any of our plans will be successful. Being a Christian doesn’t exempt us from making bad choices or encountering problems.
However, as followers of Christ, we have hope. Not to be confused with happiness. Because we can have hope and still be sad. We can have hope and not like our circumstances. Hope isn’t based on feelings or circumstances.
Having hope means putting our trust in God. And knowing there is a reason for everything we go through even if we don’t understand it.
Hope is:
- Believing God is working everything for our good – Romans 8:28
- Knowing we’re not alone – Joshua 1:9
- Knowing God’s strength will help us get through – Philippians 4:13
- Knowing there’s more to this life than what we see – I Corinthians 15:21-58
So no matter what decisions you are contemplating, remember we have someone who watches out for us and directs our steps. Take hope in that promise.
The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. Psalms 32:8 NLT
